Ahead of the 2018 Nigeria Women Premier League, Ibom Angels coach, Whyte Ogbonda, has made known the intentions of the club — to win a double this season.
The Orange Girls gaffer in a brief chat with Soccer Classique said in clear terms that the club will not just vie for the league trophy but the FA Cup as well.
“This year we are not just challenging for the league title we are going for a double — the league and the FA Cup.
“The girls and I have talked about it that we are going for the double this year, and I believe with the calibre of young players we have now in the team the sky will be our limit.
“We are going for the double not just winning the league. We are going for the double this year. And that is our target this year.”
Last year, Ibom Angels reached the finals of the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in their history where they lost to eventual winners Rivers Angels on penalties after regulation period ended 1-1.
